An outdoor chair is light to lift and awkward to post. Folding frames catch on carton walls, armrests punch through thin board, and a bent leg is a chair nobody wants. So every Vellaro Parade order is re-boxed by hand at our Chennai unit before it goes anywhere. This page sets out when it leaves, how long it takes and what it costs.
Cut-off and packing window
Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day are picked the same day. Because frames are checked open-and-shut before they are folded back down, dispatch takes 1 to 3 business days, Monday to Saturday. Sundays and public holidays are not working days.
Each chair is opened, the hinges and locking pins are worked once, the fabric seat is checked for pulls at the seams, then it is folded, sleeved and boxed with corner board over the armrests.
How long delivery takes
Once collected, transit runs 5 to 12 business days. Metro destinations usually land in 5 to 8 business days; the rest of India runs 7 to 12 business days because a bulky consignment changes hubs more often than a parcel does. Counting packing and freight together, plan for 6 to 15 business days from order to doorstep.
Monsoon weeks slow the network noticeably along the coast. If your consignment has not moved for two working days past the estimate, tell us and we will chase the carrier rather than ask you to.
What it costs
Free shipping on orders of ₹3,999 and above; a flat ₹149 applies below that. The amount is worked out on your cart total and shown on the checkout page before you confirm, so there is nothing left to settle with the delivery crew.

Who carries it, and tracking
Bulky consignments move with Delhivery Heavy and VRL Logistics, chosen by which network reaches your PIN code with fewer transfers. A tracking number is sent by email and SMS as soon as the box is scanned into the network; it can take a few hours to go live on the carrier’s own page after that, which is normal and does not mean the parcel is lost.
Check it before you sign
Seating is signed for after inspection, never before. When the box arrives:
- Start a video before you cut the tape and keep filming until the chair is out of the carton.
- Open the frame fully, sit in it, and check the fabric, the welds and the locking pins.
- Only then sign. If a leg is bent or the fabric is torn, write it on the delivery sheet before signing.
Delivery is to your doorstep or building entrance. The crew are not insured to carry goods up narrow stairwells or to assemble anything.
Cash on Delivery and prepaid orders
Pay by UPI in advance, or choose Cash on Delivery and settle with the crew at the door. A few distant PIN codes are not enabled for Cash on Delivery on bulky items; where that applies the option simply will not appear at checkout and you can still order prepaid.
Addresses and re-attempts
Please give a complete address with a landmark and a phone number that will actually be answered — an unreachable number is the single most common reason a bulky delivery slips a day. Carriers attempt delivery up to three times before returning a consignment to us. If one comes back because nobody could be contacted, we will write to arrange a re-ship at the standard rate; if the fault was ours, we re-ship at our cost.
