From a rooftop idea to your veranda
Vellaro Parade is a sole proprietorship based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, operating online only at vellaroparade.shop. It began with four chairs on a terrace in Mogappair West and the discovery that three of them were useless by the second monsoon — one hinge seized, one seat sagged out of its frame, and one simply rusted through at the foot.
That is the ordinary fate of outdoor seating bought on price alone, and it is the problem this shop exists to solve. We buy on the parts nobody photographs: the gauge of the tube, whether the pivot is riveted or bolted, how the seat fabric is stitched into the frame, and whether the feet are capped or left open to fill with water.
Every model we list is opened and shut a hundred times before it goes on the site, sat in by people of different builds, and left out through a full week of coastal weather. A surprising number never make it to the shop. The ones that do carry a tested weight rating we measured ourselves rather than copied from a supplier sheet.
Our buyers are terrace and balcony people, weekend campers, and families who want somewhere to sit at a beach house that will still be there next season. We keep the range narrow — folding chairs, zero-gravity recliners, rockers and two-seaters — because we would rather know four categories properly than list forty badly.
We are online only, with no showroom and no dealer network. That keeps the price honest and it puts the whole burden on the description being accurate, which is a discipline we are glad to be held to.

What we check before anything is listed
Opened a hundred times
Every model is worked open and shut before it is stocked. Hinges that stiffen, pins that catch and frames that rack out of square do not make it onto the site.
Ratings we measured
The weight rating on a listing is one we tested here, not one copied from a supplier sheet. Seat height and folded size are taken with a tape so you can plan a balcony around them.
Boxed for the bulky network
Chairs are folded, sleeved and corner-boarded before boxing. Bulky freight is rougher than parcel post, and a bent armrest is not something a customer should have to argue about.
Payment without a card
Pay by UPI or settle in cash at the door. No card details are entered anywhere on this site, and we take no deposits or part payments.

If a chair arrives bent, torn, short of its hardware or simply not as described, record the unboxing, tell us within 48 hours, and we replace it or refund it and pay the freight both ways. A chair should last several seasons — how we handle one bad delivery ought to last longer than that.
